- Laucke wholemeal bread mic
- 400 g water
- 2 teaspoons of yeast
- 3 tablespoons of Natural Fibre Seed Blend with Fruit
- ½ cup plain flour
- 4-6 tablespoons of water
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon of water
Step by Step Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C
Place the bread mix, water, yeast and Natural Fibre with Fruit into a large bowl. Mix to combine.
Knead the dough for 6-10 minutes or until it stretches without tearing.
Break the dough into 8 equal parts and shape them into buns.
Allow to sit for 30-40 minutes or until they have doubled in size.
While the buns are rising, combine flour and water and mix until it forms a thick paste.
Use a piping bag to create the crosses by piping horizonatlly and vertically across the buns.
To make the glaze, whisk the egg and add water.
Using a pastry brush, brush the glaze mixture over the top of the buns.
Place the glazed buns a bread tin and bake for approx. 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Allow to cool on baking rack before eating.
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
